Photographic competition 2006

We are delighted to show you the winners of the 2006 competition. For the second time digital photography was included and the three categories attracted many entries. There were four categories allowed, as shown below with their respective winners and runners-up. The winner of the Gordon Langsbury Cup, voted by the members present from each of the category winners, was Mike Smith for his stunning slide of Mute Swans in flight.

We thank all those taking part and the members on the evening who voted the various winning entries. Our thanks also go to Gordon Langsbury and Dickie Duckett who explained the strengths of the best of the entries and gave much help to all of the photographers on the way! We regret the limited time available for the final section and have reduced the entries per category to see if we can find a little more time in 2007!
